Justin Bieber got a sweet reaction from ex-girlfriend Sofia Richie after announcing that he and his wife Hailey Bieber are expecting their first child.

Bieber, 30, briefly dated Richie, 25, in the summer of 2016 during a break in the singer's successful Purpose World Tour.

Hailey, 27, unveiled the baby news on Thursday via Instagram and Richie was quick to show her support.

'Ahh!! Congratulations,' commented the model, followed by a several heart emojis.

Sofia alsohappens to be nine months pregnant with her first child with music executive Elliot Grainge, 30, who she wed in April 2023.

Neither Bieber or Richie ever confirmed their 2016 fling but they were spotted on several PDA-packed outings in Los Angeles and Tokyo that August.

At the time, the daughter of Lionel Richie gushed to Billboard about their 'special relationship' and how she was drawn to Bieber's down-to-earth nature.

'Justin is very easy to talk to, and that's hard to find with people in Los Angeles,' she said.

Months earlier, Bieber had enjoyed another brief romance with his now-wife Hailey following his split from on/off girlfriend Selena Gomez, 31.

Although Bieber and Richie's romantic connection wasn't meant to be, it's clear the pair are on friendly terms.

Another one of Bieber's ex-girlfriends also publicly congratulated the couple on their baby joy.

Caitlin Beadles, who was the singer's very first girlfriend back in 2008, was ecstatic for the couple.

'congrats, happy for y'all!' the influencer wrote.

Beadles met Bieber when he and his mother Pattie Mallette, 49, moved from their small town in Canada to Atlanta, Georgia to work with Usher on Justin's music career.

They were just 14 when they struck up a romance that Beadles reportedly ended one year later — just before he hit the big time.

Being that Beadles and her family were part of his early support system in the US, Bieber notably invited them to his and Hailey's South Carolina wedding in 2019.

Justin and Hailey received a slew of congratulatory messages from their famous pals.

Kim Kardashian wrote: 'I love you guys sooooo much!!!!' while Chrissy Teigen penned: 'EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!! You are going to be an amazing amazing mommy oh boy get ready!!! So exciting so happy for you both!!'

Kylie Jenner wrote: 'i love you guys!!!! ahhhhhhhh' while mom Kris Jenner wrote: 'We are so so excited can’t wait can’t wait what a blessing!!!!!'

Gigi Hadid, Kaia Gerber, Jennifer Lopez and Demi Lovato were also among the stars to send 'love' and heart-emojis to the couple.

Hailey announced her pregnancy joy with a beautiful video showing her debuting her bump in a custom Saint Laurent lace wedding dress by Anthony Vaccarello, paired with a flowing veil during the couple's surprise vow renewal in Hawaii.

The star and the Baby hitmaker shared a sweet kiss as they celebrated their news during their outdoor ceremony - with Hailey sporting a new diamond ring.

Justin - who was casually clad in a backwards cap, bomber jacket and jeans - was seen filming his bride cradling her bump - with the video set to a new track by the Grammy winner.

The couple have been married since September 2018.

TMZ reports that Hailey is more than six months pregnant.

Justin and Hailey were first introduced in 2009 by Hailey's father Stephen Baldwin at the premiere of Justin's documentary Never Say Never.

The pair then had a brief fling in 2016 amid a break in his on/off decade-long romance with Selena Gomez.

When he and the Disney Channel alum, 31, finally called it quits for good in May 2018, Justin fell into Hailey's arms and they've been attached at the hip since.

The pair have spoken candidly about their relationship over the years — including their 'really tough' first year of marriage.

Speaking to GQ in 2021, Justin revealed that his and Hailey's initial difficulties stemmed from 'trauma' and 'just lack of trust.'

'There was all these things that you don't want to admit to the person that you're with, because it's scary. You don't want to scare them off by saying, 'I'm scared,'' he explained.

The Sorry hitmaker admitted during the first year of marriage he was 'on eggshells' but now he's never felt more stable.

The couple previously expressed their mutual desire for children but in 2023 Hailey expressed concerns about raising a family in the spotlight.

'I want kids so bad but I get scared. It's enough that people say things about my husband or my friends,' she told the Sunday Times last year.

'I can't imagine having to confront people saying things about a child. We can only do the best we can to raise them. As long as they feel loved and safe.'

Last year the Rhode skincare founder dished that she and Justin would like to try for a family 'in the next couple of years.'

You don't know how long that process [of getting pregnant] is every going to take. Definitely no kids this year, that would be a little hectic, I think,' Hailey told WSJ.

'There's this thing that happens for women when you get married. Everybody assumes it's: 'First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes the baby,' the wife of Justin Bieber explained.

'Well, what about the things I want to accomplish in my business? I think I had it ingrained in my head that I was going to want to have kids right away and I was going to have kids super, super young. Then I turned 25 and I'm like, I'm still super, super young!'

The Biebers marked their fifth wedding anniversary last September with Instagram tributes to one another, with Hailey writing a short but poignant messaging, posting: '5. I love you.'

Justin left a longer message in homage to his partner, penning: 'To the most precious, my beloved. 5 years. You have captivated my heart. I know from the depths of my soul down to my bones that this journey with you will only exceed our wildest expectations. So let's keep dreaming big baby. Cheers to forever and ever. I love you with every fibre of my being. HAPPY 5TH YEAR ANNIVERSARY!!!'
