What’s New This Week: Sabrina Carpenter, Cassadee Pope, and More! (2024)

It’s that time of the week again! We are back with the best of what’s new in music and are ready to equip you to get through the next week! We have everyone from Cassadee Pope to Sabrina Carpenter, so let’s jump in!

Bellah Mae – Never Waste A Heartbreak

Never Waste A Heartbreak is an EP everyone simply has to listen to. Bellah Mae has somehow managed to speak to every emotion we could have wanted put to words within the lyrics of these six songs. We listened to the record a solid four times before being able to move on and form thoughts, we were so entranced. ‘2053’ is easily our stand-out from the record.

Sabrina Carpenter – ‘Please Please Please’

One thing about us, we are going to take every possible opportunity to praise Sabrina Carpenter, who is quickly becoming one of the biggest names in pop music (as deserved). ‘Espresso’ was already deemed the song of the summer, and now, its only competition is ‘Please Please Please’ which we’ve had on repeat for days.

Truly, with an album and a tour on the way, there is no slowing Sabrina Carpenter down.

Pale Waves – ‘Perfume’

‘Perfume’ has been on a constant loop since its release, it’s that serious for us! If Pale Waves isn’t already on your radar, what are you doing? You are missing out on some of the best music being released right now! The chorus to this track comes in and hits so hard, that we found ourselves singing it to ourselves throughout the day, and that’s the sign of a hit!

Eden Rain – ‘Palo Alto’

Eden Rain is a longtime favorite here at THP so of course we’re going to take a minute to praise her newest track, ‘Palo Alto.’ Anytime we are looking for a song to just straight-up vibe to, we know we can count on Eden Rain, and ‘Palo Alto’ fits that bill perfectly. There is something so unique that Eden Rain brings to the table that always has us coming back for more, we are (not so) patiently waiting for a full-length project.

Cassadee Pope – ‘I Died’ ft. Daisha McBride

As we gear up for Cassadee Pope’s upcoming album (which we couldn’t be more hyped up for) ‘I Died’ is perfectly holding us over. Cassadee returning to pop-punk truly is one of the best examples of an artist completely coming into their own that we can think of. This style of music fits so perfectly with Cassadee’s voice and allows for music magic like this collaboration with Daisha McBride.

Kygo – ‘Me Before You’

Looking for a song to dance to all summer long? Look no further than ‘Me Before You’ by Kygo! As always, Kygo has managed to make a song that both feels sun-soaked and that we want to play as we pre-game, the duality is incredible. We can already tell this song is going to go platinum in our household.

Maggie Rose – No One Gets Out Alive

Let us just start by saying that picking a favorite song from the twelve expertly crafted songs on No One Gets Out Alive was quite the task, but ‘Under The Sun’ did indeed come out on top. This is Maggie’s first full-length album since 2021, and you can tell by listening to the tracks that so much love for the craft and genuine emotion went behind each of these tracks. This is an album worth waiting for.

Creed Bratton – ‘Corner Of The Universe’

As massive fans of The Office and of Creed Bratton, we knew we had to include his latest track in this round-up! Listening to Creed’s records you can always tell there is such a deep understanding and appreciation for the craft, which couldn’t be more endearing for us, as the listeners. We can’t wait to get even more music from Creed when his album drops in September!

Nina Nesbitt – ‘ I’m Coming Home’

Closing out this week’s new music round-up with Nina Nesbitt couldn’t be a better send-off. ‘I’m Coming Home’ is the exact song you would want to listen to on a solo roundtrip with the windows down screaming along with every word. The chorus is larger than life and leaves you with the best feeling once the track wraps up. We think we have officially found our new favorite Nina Nesbitt song.
