RingCentral Video: Enabling the Waiting Room Feature

The waiting room feature allows the meeting host to control when an attendee can join the meeting. As the host, you can admit or deny attendees individually, or hold them in the waiting room to be admitted all at the same time.

The host can't see you until you are accepted into the meeting room.

Sign in to the Zoom web portal. In the navigation menu, click Settings. Click the Meeting tab. Under Security, click the Waiting Room toggle to enable or disable it.

Use RingCentral Rooms to initiate RingCentral Video meetings from different endpoints. You can start a meeting instantly when you open the RingCentral Rooms app. On the Rooms controller, tap Meet now to start a meeting. Invite participants to join your meeting by sharing the meeting ID.

The Chat panel will open and messages can be broadcast to all “Waiting Room Participants” at once. Note: If enabled in the meeting scheduler's Zoom settings, Hosts and Co-hosts can also send messages to individual participants in the Waiting Room and participants can also reply to these messages.

If you change lobby settings during a meeting, people waiting in the lobby will still be there. Select Who can bypass the lobby? and choose the setting you want to apply. Turn the People dialing in can bypass the lobby toggle on or off, if available. Select Save.
